Collaborate with similar efforts

The word “collaborate” (pronounced co-LAB-or-ate) literally means “to labor together”. During the school year, your class will have the chance to join one or more of our collaborative projects. If you see one you are interested in, tell your teacher.

Signs of Fall in Tennessee – The official date for the beginning of the Fall season is September 22, but when will it start to look and feel like Fall where you live? Go to the Signs of Fall page to see what signs we will be reporting and to report your observations.

Symbolic Monarch Migration – As part of the Journey South 2007 Project , we will be sending paper monarch butterflies from Tennessee to Mexico to “spend the winter”. Next Spring, some of the paper monarchs will “migrate” back to us! The deadline for getting your butterflies to the Journey South migration launch site is October 12, 2007.
